BedR Lead Sync - Privacy Policy

BedR Lead Sync ("Extension") is a Chrome extension designed to help property managers import leads from multiple real estate portals directly into your BedR ManagR dashboard. This privacy policy explains how we handle your data. This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, particularly the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

1. Overview

BedR Lead Sync is an internal tool developed for property managers using the BedR ManagR platform. The extension integrates with your BedR dashboard to streamline the process of importing leads from supported real estate portals. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience on our extension.

2. Information We Collect

We collect and process only the information necessary to provide our services:

2.1 Lead Information

Property lead details you choose to import from supported portals, including name, phone number, email address, and property-related information. You control when and which leads are imported—no automatic collection occurs.

2.2 Authentication Data

Your BedR dashboard session token (stored locally in your browser cookies). We use this only to authenticate your identity and authorize sync requests to your BedR account.

2.3 Portal Access Information

We access your accounts on supported portals only when you initiate a sync. We read lead data you already have access to—we do not store or retain this data in the extension.

2.4 Sync Status Data

Minimal operational data to track import success, failures, or error messages. This data is used only to display sync status to you and troubleshoot issues.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your information solely for the following purposes:

  • Import leads into your private BedR ManagR account
  • Authenticate your identity via your existing BedR session
  • Display sync status and error messages for troubleshooting
  • Maintain extension functionality and security
  • Prevent fraudulent activity and protect against misuse

4. What We Do NOT Do

  • We do NOT share or sell your data to third parties
  • We do NOT use your data for marketing or analytics
  • We do NOT store lead data in the extension (data is transmitted directly to your BedR account)
  • We do NOT access your personal browsing history or activity on other websites
  • We do NOT execute remote code or load scripts from external servers
  • We do NOT track you across websites or platforms

5. Supported Portals

The extension can import leads from the following real estate portals:

  • 99acres
  • Housing.com
  • NoBroker
  • MagicBricks

6. Permissions Explained

The extension requests specific permissions to function properly:

6.1 Tabs Permission

Used to open portal pages in background tabs to fetch leads, then automatically close them after syncing. You remain in control—no tabs are opened without your initiation.

6.2 Cookies Permission

Used to read only your BedR session token to authorize sync requests. We do not set, modify, or access any other cookies.

6.3 Storage Permission

Used to store minimal sync status locally (no personal data). This helps provide a better experience by remembering extension state across browser sessions.

6.4 Host Permissions

Allows the extension to read lead data from the four supported portals and communicate securely with your BedR dashboard. Access is limited only to these specific domains.

7. Data Security

  • All communication between the extension and Bedr is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
  • Session tokens are stored only in browser cookies with secure, domain-restricted settings
  • No data is logged, stored on external servers, or transmitted to third parties
  • The extension applies a strict Content Security Policy (CSP) to prevent malicious code execution
  • No remote code execution—all scripts are bundled with the extension

8. Data Retention & Deletion

  • Imported leads are stored in your BedR ManagR account, subject to BedR's Privacy Policy
  • You can delete synced leads anytime from your BedR dashboard
  • Uninstalling the extension removes all local extension data immediately
  • No backup or archive of synced data is retained by the extension

9. Third-Party Data

Lead data from real estate portals (99acres, Housing.com, NoBroker, MagicBricks) remains subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We only extract data you already have access to in your own accounts on those platforms. We do not share, sell, or disclose this data to any third party.

10. Your Rights

  • Opt-In/Out: You control when syncing occurs—no automatic data collection
  • Request Data: Contact us to verify what data we have processed
  • Data Deletion: Delete leads from your BedR dashboard; uninstall the extension to remove all local data
  • Withdraw Consent: Stop using the extension anytime; no data remains after uninstallation

11. Policy Changes

We may update this privacy policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Effective Date" above. Continued use of the extension after updates constitutes acceptance of the new policy. You are encouraged to periodically review this policy to stay informed of updates.
